U.K. firm Addleshaw Goddard will launch a Hong Kong office later this month.
The new office will be jointly headed by the 400-lawyer firm’s newly-appointed international managing partner Andrew Carpenter and international arbitration partner Jonathan Tattersall, who heads Addleshaw’s engineering, projects and construction litigation team.
Neither will work in Hong Kong full-time; Carpenter will also work out of the firm’s Dubai office and Tattersall will divide his time between Hong Kong and London.
The London-based firm made its first forays overseas last year when it opened in Singapore and Dubai. As international managing partner, Carpenter, the firm’s former private equity practice head, will oversee the firm’s overseas teams and those U.K. lawyers who work frequently on cross-border matters.
