For the second time in three years, a U.S. district judge has dismissed a suit in which Viacom claimed $1 billion in damages from the posting of its shows and movies on YouTube. In a Thursday ruling, Judge Louis Stanton in Manhattan found that the responsibility for identifying specific infringing clips laid with copyright owners such as Viacom.
