Manatt, Phelps & Phillips has lost the firmwide chair of its intellectual property and IP litigation group, JILL PIETRINI, to Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton. Joining Pietrini, a partner, in making the move from Manatt’s Los Angeles office are two associates, one special counsel, and five staffers.

Working out of Sheppard Mullin’s Century City, California, location, Pietrini will continue an IP practice focused on trademark work as well as dilution, trade name, trade dress, copyright, right of publicity, unfair competition, patent litigation, and appellate matters. Her client list includes entertainers such as Metallica, Will Smith, and Gwen Stefani, as well as companies like Cafe Press, Fifty-Six Hope Road Music, Gerawan Farming, and Summit Entertainment.
