Hogan Lovells, Kaye Scholer, and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett are advising on the proposed sale of a stake in a Lehman Brothers-backed apartment owner to Sam Zell’s Equity Residential for $1.3 billion.

Equity Residential has agreed to buy a 26.5 percent stake in apartment owner Archstone from Bank of America and Barclays four years after Lehman Brothers, Bank of America, and property developer Tishman Speyer took Archstone private in a $22.2 billion leveraged buyout.
