Jones Day has nabbed three private equity partners from the San Diego office of Foley & Lardner. The firm joins a host of others moving to beef up in private equity in California, according to The Am Law Daily’s colleagues at The Recorder. Jones Day partner Lizanne Thomas confirmed to The Recorder’s Petra Pasternak last week that the firm had hired Foley partners KENNETH POLIN, PETER ELIAS, and AMIE SINGER PICCOLA, although the firm had yet to make a formal announcement as of Friday.

Polin focuses on securities, venture capital, and M&A for emerging and public tech and growth companies and Elias is a tax structuring specialist. Piccola, who was part of Foley’s emerging technologies and life sciences industry team, will be relocating to Atlanta with Jones Day as of counsel according to Thomas.
