For MICHAEL HOLLORAN, everything old is new again.

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman announced Tuesday that Holloran has rejoined the firm as a corporate and securities partner, splitting his time between the firm’s Washington, D.C., and Silicon Valley offices. This marks Holloran’s third stint at Pillsbury. After starting his career by spending 18 years there, he left in 1990 to become group executive vice president and general counsel for Bank of America Corp. After six years at BofA, he rejoined Pillsbury in 1997. He left again in 2005, and from 2006 to 2008, he served as counselor to the chairman and deputy chief of staff at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
