Magic Circle firm Clifford Chance plans to open an office in Casablanca by the end of 2011 to serve a growing list of clients doing business in Africa, the firm announced Monday. It is the firm’s first office on that continent.

Paris partner Mustapha Mourahib, a Moroccan national, will move to Casablanca to lead the new office, which will be supported by four associates, the firm announced. Mourahib joined Clifford Chance’s Paris office in 2006. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions, project finance, and structured finance, in North Africa and, particularly, Morocco.
