Oil and gas attorney and former petroleum engineer SHAHID GHAURI is the newest partner at the Houston office of Andrews Kurth. Previously a partner at Jones Day, Ghauri joins the firm’s business transactions and project finance sections.
DLA Piper welcomes former senator GEORGE MITCHELL back to its New York office. Mitchell, who served as partner and chairman of the firm’s global board before his appointment as U.S. special envoy for Middle East peace, returns to DLA Piper as a chairman emeritus and ex officio member of the global board. In his new role, Mitchell will advise the firm on client development and management and strategic initiatives.
