PepsiCo/Wimm-Bill-Dann

An iconic American brand is looking overseas for growth. PepsiCo, Inc., agreed on December 2 to acquire 66 percent of Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods OJSC , Russia’s largest producer of dairy and juice products, for $3.8 billion. The company plans to acquire the rest of Wimm-Bill-Dann’s shares thereafter. Three years ago, Pepsi paid $1.4 billion for 76 percent of Russian juice producer JSC Lebedyansky.
