The former leader of Goodwin Procter’s New York corporate practice is headed to Bingham McCutchen as a partner in that firm’s investment management and corporate practice groups. KEVIN SHERIDAN counsels alternative asset management businesses and also advises clients on leveraged buy-outs and other transactions.
Dechert has added MICHAEL COWIE as a partner in Washington, D.C., and LAURA SWIHART as a partner in New York. Cowie, formerly of Howrey, is an antitrust partner who represents large companies in government investigations and litigation. Swihart arrives from Winston & Strawn and will be part of Dechert’s finance and real estate practice.
