While Chevron’s Ecuador litigation continues to grab headlines, the energy giant also is making deal news stateside. The San Ramon, California-based company announced early Tuesday that it will acquire Atlas Energy for $3.2 billion in cash and an assumption of debt of approximately $1.1 billion.
