Corporate defaults may be on the decline, according to a recent roundtable discussion hosted by the Daily Bankruptcy Review, but several companies recently seeking bankruptcy protection still owe big money to their lawyers from Am Law 200 firms. And with some speculating that the U.S. economic recovery is hitting a wall, outstanding legal bills from corporate debtors could also be on the rise as restructurings rebound.

The bankruptcy filings that usually catch our attention involve big firms landing plum assignments representing debtors and creditors. This week, we take a look at some of the firms that have been showing up in bankruptcy proceedings as creditors themsleves.
