Law firm leasing activity picked up in the first quarter of 2024 in Washington, D.C., as some firms took on more space in their current office buildings, according to data from Cushman & Wakefield.

Wall Street firm Sullivan & Cromwell signed a 14½-year lease renewal starting September 2025 at 1700 New York Ave. N.W., taking on another floor in the building. And Williams & Connolly is taking on another 25,490 square feet of space, amounting to roughly a floor, at its new headquarters in the Wharf.
