The American Lawyer’s editorial staff reviewed dozens of submissions for our 2021 Litigation Department of the Year contest, all of which demonstrated the incredibly high quality of work being done in courtrooms across the country. From state trial courts to the appellate courts and all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court, the cases we read about highlight the tenacity and stellar advocacy of the litigators involved in these matters.

We recently profiled the seven firms recognized as finalists for Litigation Department of the Year, but they’re far from the only ones to impress our judging staff. The following firms are each deserving of special recognition as honorable mentions in our contest.
