As the legal industry evolves, the legal community is increasingly interconnected. A look at the coverage across our national and regional brands shows how law departments, law firms, legal technology companies and others are crossing paths in more and different ways. To better reflect the evolution of and innovation around the way legal services are delivered, ALM has revamped how it recognizes success in the legal industry. Many of our traditional awards and rankings, such as Litigation Departments of the Year, Best Legal Departments awards and the NLJ 500/Am Law 200, will remain. But to those we will add recognition awards that better reflect the ways in which the industry is achieving success—such as the best law firm-client partnership, best use of technology or the best business team within a law firm, as a few examples.
