Shearman & Sterling is launching an international arbitration practice in Hong Kong with the hire of partner Nils Eliasson.

Eliasson will join Shearman on Sept. 1 from Swedish law firm Mannheimer Swartling where he has led the Asia dispute resolution practice from Hong Kong. Eliasson specializes in energy-related international arbitration, having represented clients in both contract and investment treaty disputes before various arbitration institutes including the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, the International Chamber of Commerce Court of Arbitration and the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.
