No stranger to lateral moves, Reed Smith saw corporate and securities counsel CHARLES “CHUCK” GREENBERG recently leave the firm’s Pittsburgh office for greener fields in Texas.

Greenberg, who joined Reed Smith in 2010 after serving as head of the sports practice at Pepper Hamilton, where he also spent time on the firm’s executive committee, was once managing partner and CEO of Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers. But the chairman and founder of the Greenberg Sports Group was ousted from that role in 2011 following a power struggle with Rangers ownership and legendary Lone Star State hurler Nolan Ryan.
