Nearly three years after opening an office in Houston and a month after making another upgrade to its energy practice, Sidley Austin is once again making moves in the country’s oil and gas capital.

“It’s hard to be successful here if you don’t do energy work,” says KEVIN LEWIS, a former co-head of the capital markets practice at Vinson & Elkins who joined Sidley’s Houston office Monday. “I like to say my practice is 50 percent energy, 50 percent corporate governance and 50 percent airline work.”
