Washington’s Dickstein Shapiro has boosted its intellectual property practice with the addition of four partners. John T. Gallagher, Gerard A. Haddad and Christopher K. Hu will be in New York. Michael S. Marcus will be in the Washington office. All were previously with the intellectual property firm Morgan & Finnegan. Gallagher’s experience includes all phases of intellectual property litigation, including antitrust, trade secret, and unfair competition disputes. Hu has litigated cases on behalf of Fortune 100 companies and served as lead counsel in cases involving computers, medical products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, mechanical devices, and trade secrets. Haddad’s experience includes patent, copyright, and trademark litigation in many industries, including computer software and hardware, medical devices, telecommunications and consumer goods. He also regularly counsels companies on their intellectual property rights. Marcus, a former primary examiner in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, has provided counsel to many leading U.S. companies. Dickstein Shapiro’s intellectual property practice has more than 85 attorneys. The firm has more than 400 attorneys in Washington, New York and Los Angeles.
