In testimony before the House Judiciary subcommittee on crime, terrorism and homeland security, Jamie Leigh Jones said that she was raped by a co-worker while working in Iraq for a former Halliburton subsidiary, and noted, "This problem goes way beyond just me." Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, agreed, stating that several other women have reported being harassed and assaulted while working in Iraq for KBR. Jones and others are suing KBR, but must contend with a mandatory arbitration agreement they signed at hiring.

A woman who claims she was raped by a fellow employee while working for a U.S. contractor in Iraq told House lawmakers Wednesday that her case is far from unique.
