After verging on a trial that neither side wanted, disbarred Miami asbestos attorney Louis S. Robles pleaded guilty Tuesday to three federal counts of mail fraud.
Under the sentencing guidelines, U.S. District Judge Alan Gold could sentence Robles to a maximum 15 years in prison. Robles also agreed to pay restitution totaling more than $13.5 million, to give up $1 million in funds frozen by federal authorities, and to relinquish his Bar license.
