Montgomery County District Attorney Michael McDougal says he will seek a special prosecutor to investigate whether Senior District Judge James Keeshan committed an offense by placing a Houston lawyer in jail for several hours last year.

McDougal says he planned to file a motion Friday with 9th District Judge Frederick Edwards, administrative judge for the courts in Montgomery County, seeking the appointment of a special prosecutor, who will decide whether to present a case to a grand jury.
