Mobile software companies Visto Corp. and Seven Networks Inc. have settled their patent disputes, the companies announced Tuesday, ending three years of high-profile court battles — including an appeal of a multimillion-dollar jury verdict.

Terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but Seven has agreed to license some of Visto’s patents, as well as to pay Visto a cash sum, said Visto General Counsel Timothy Robbins.
