Residents of a New Jersey town bordering a toxic landfill need not pre-prove their damages in order to go forward with a suit against Ford Motor Co. and other defendants.

A federal judge on May 17 denied a defense motion for a case management order that would have required each of the plaintiffs to specify injuries and produce evidence the injuries were caused by exposure to toxins from the site.
