The firm began to unravel when Tomlinson took a break from his practice in 2002, which is when the boutique shrunk from 20 lawyers to five earlier this year. Founding partners Timothy Tomlinson and William Zisko have taken their corporate and securities practice to the Silicon Valley offices of 1,600-lawyer Greenberg Traurig. And real estate partner James Janz has moved to Sideman & Bancroft in San Francisco.
