Jenkens closed its doors effective Saturday; the next day, 93 lawyers from the firm joined Hunton & Williams. Two days before Jenkens closed, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York and the IRS announced a settlement with Jenkens related to its former Chicago-based tax-shelter practice.
