Former 7th Circuit Chief Judge Richard A. Posner and current 7th Circuit Chief Judge Frank H. Easterbrook are often mentioned in the same breath, and for good reason. They are two of the most talented writers and thinkers among the entire federal appellate judiciary, and they have served together for more than 22 years on the same Chicago-based federal appellate court. Yet, despite their similar talents and giant intellects, they do not always agree on the proper resolution of a given case. When they disagree, it can make for some interesting reading.
