City council members unanimously approved a $55,000 out-of-court settlement with former Keller City, Texas, police officer Charles Eric Richardson, who sued to get his job back after he was permanently injured in Iraq. U.S. District Judge John McBryde dismissed Richardson's case last week, and an alternative dispute resolution summary filed in federal court last week said the case was settled after mediation nearly two weeks ago. Richardson also had filed a disability discrimination complaint with the EEOC.
