A federal jury in New York heard opening statements Wednesday in the case of an elementary school teacher who claims she was fired because of false accusations that she was a witch. The school's attorney responded by calling Lauren Berrios a "storyteller" with serious mental health issues whose termination was in the best interest of the students. Berrios' attorney told the jury that problems began when former principal Andrew Albano became a born-again Christian and "brought his religion into the school."
