Asked by her lawyer if she took part in a conspiracy, a teary-eyed Joya Williams told jurors she did not, blaming her difficulties understanding her boss's accent and his insistence that she better understand the workings of the company for the documents and product samples found in her home. Two co-defendants in the alleged conspiracy have pleaded guilty.
