A Philadelphia judge has ordered a new trial in a medical malpractice action after failing to include on the original trial jury’s verdict sheet the names of defendants who had settled roughly a week before that first trial.

The lone nonsettling defendant in Glass v. Continuing Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center had lost at the April 2006 trial, with the jury awarding the plaintiff slightly more than $596,000.
