Rosemarie Williams, a judge whose off-the-bench conduct prompted the New Jersey Supreme Court to discipline her twice, has announced she won't seek reappointment when her term expires in March, saying she doesn't want to endure the negative publicity that would accompany the process. She was suspended for three months without pay in 2001 for a public confrontation with an ex-boyfriend in which the police were called. Last September, the court censured her for drunken driving.
