The New Jersey Senate Judiciary Committee panel approved a bill to place individuals undergoing sex changes under the protection of state anti-discrimination law. Under the bill, employers would have to allow employees to dress and groom themselves "consistently with the employee's gender identity or expression." The committee also passed measures on no-fault divorce and protections and penalties in the area of public corruption.

The Senate Judiciary Committee on Nov. 13 pushed forward a bill that would add irreconcilable differences as a ground for divorce in New Jersey.
In other action, the panel passed measures to place individuals undergoing sex changes under the protection of the discrimination law and to beef up protections and penalties in the area of public corruption.
