Policy makers, judges and executives steering China’s economic boom have just concluded a 20-day trip to the United States to investigate how Americans tackle intellectual property protection — one of the most vexing economic problems for the emerging superpower.

The visit was part of a strategy to change Chinese attitudes and boost copyright enforcement — both as a response to Western concerns, and for the benefit of China’s own economy. The 19-person delegation will help develop and implement China’s intellectual property system.
