Back to school! The arrival of the law students the last week of August is the busiest and, in many respects, one of the most fun times of the school year, as we greet the returning students and meet the new first-year class.
The first few weeks of classes we try to get a feel for the 1Ls — how do they compare to their predecessors in terms of abilities, habits and activities? What I have found interesting to watch is the change from a mostly Gen X class body to a student body that is now weighted towards the Millennials. There is a difference.
