Presiding Justice Carol W. Hunstein has refused to answer a judicial election questionnaire posed by the Christian Coalition of Georgia, arguing that an answer by any candidate “would call into serious question whether that candidate, if elected, could later decide a case involving the same or similar issues in an impartial manner.”

Hunstein’s comments came in a two-page letter faxed Tuesday to Sadie Fields, who chairs the group.
