An American Civil Liberties Union report released Thursday describes New Orleans prisoners trapped in flooded cells, deprived of food, ventilation and water for days, and calls the scene at the jail "some of the worst horrors of Hurricane Katrina." A spokeswoman for the Orleans Parish sheriff said the department had not seen the report -- which was compiled through legal and public documents and interviews with prisoners, deputies and staff -- and had no immediate comment.
