A copyright infringement case featuring a Tennessee photographer who’s accusing the San Jose Mercury News of publishing a picture without permission kicked off in San Francisco federal court Monday.
Christopher Harris, a digital media communications professor at Middle Tennessee State University, says the Mercury News illegally reprinted one of his photos in a 2003 book review — without Harris’ written approval.
