In a continuing effort to push hard into the California market, Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo snagged its second big catch in two months and opened a new office in San Diego.

The Boston-based firm acquired 12 attorneys from IP boutique Fish & Richardson, including its head of corporate and securities group and the managing partner of its San Diego office. The announcement comes on the heels of the firm’s entry into Palo Alto, where it opened an office in April with lawyers from the Reed Intellectual Property Law Group.
