The president and chief executive of Toyota Motor North America, accused last week in a $190 million sexual harassment lawsuit, is voluntarily leaving the post, the automaker said Tuesday. Hideaki Otaka, who had been scheduled to leave in June, said he was innocent of the charges but his staying on went against the company's interests. Toyota replaced Otaka with Jim Press, the first American to serve as president of the region's operations. Press has been president of Toyota Motor Sales since June 2005.
