A scholarship program for low-income law students that appeared to have its funding eliminated in the state budget will continue, Kentucky Supreme Court Chief Justice Joseph E. Lambert said. The Kentucky Legal Education Opportunity program provides $5,000 scholarships for each of the three years of law school to university-selected students. Up to 15 scholarships a year are available to each of Kentucky's three public law schools.

A scholarship program for low-income law students that appeared to have its funding eliminated in the state budget will continue, Kentucky Supreme Court Chief Justice Joseph E. Lambert said.
A preliminary examination of the judicial budget showed that the Kentucky Legal Education Opportunity had been discontinued by this year’s state Legislature, Lambert said in a statement.
