More than 10 years after the parties first thought they had a deal, a federal judge has ordered the owner of a 57-acre East End farm that has been in his family for three centuries to sell a chunk of the land to a former partner at the world’s largest law firm.

Eastern District of New York Judge Denis Hurley last week granted summary judgment for former Baker & McKenzie partner Anthony Petrello and his wife, and ordered specific performance of their contract of sale with Sagaponack farmer John C. White Jr.
