Fox Rothschild has begun a white-collar defense practice group with the addition of partner Patrick J. Egan and plans to bring in others to grow the practice. White-collar is one of the hottest practice areas these days, with an increase in lateral moves and client needs. But some say it's not the easiest practice to develop. Duane Morris' white-collar chairman says a white-collar practice is beyond any one lawyer and requires the resources of a firm as a whole.

Fox Rothschild has added white-collar defense to its list of practice groups with the addition of its newest partner, Patrick J. Egan.
Egan, who joined the firm last month, will offer Philadelphia-based Fox Rothschild the opportunity to handle white-collar work in-house, something it previously was forced to refer out, Philadelphia office managing partner Scott Vernick said.
