The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with a lower court that a class action lawsuit against Google and other Internet companies belongs in state court. The defendants had asked that the case be tried in federal court, citing a new federal law. But the suit, which claims the Internet companies charged clients for advertising traffic not generated by bona fide customers, was filed before President Bush signed legislation that funnels most class action lawsuits to federal court.
