In fall 2003, health care attorney Joseph I. Zumpano and his partners walked into their new office space in Coral Gables, Fla. There were no chairs, no phones, no desks, no staff — and no clients.
“When we showed up to an empty office space, it really hit me,” Zumpano said in an interview. “We were starting over. It was a time of great anxiety.”
