It’s common knowledge that law school graduates with top grades and a stint on law review have the best chances of getting jobs with top firms. To get more minorities into this select group, Allegra J. Lawrence, a partner with Sutherland Asbill & Brennan’s Atlanta office, has organized a summer prep course for minority students starting law school this fall.

Last month the firm had its first graduating class, of 22 students, drawn from Lawrence’s alma mater, Spelman College, and Morehouse College.
