The federal bankruptcy court in Denver will hold a hearing Sept. 21 to approve a settlement between Scott Richter and Microsoft Corp. Richter and his Web marketing firm, OptinRealBig.com, have agreed to pay $7 million to Microsoft to settle charges he sent unwanted e-mails with falsified headers and routing data, not to mention deceptive subject lines. But what's pivotal to the Microsoft deal is that Richter and Optin must terminate their bankruptcy cases.
