Following a two-year stint at Shearman & Sterling, Carmen Chang is returning to Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the firm where she's spent most of her career. Wilson Sonsini lured Chang back with two attractive offers: its burgeoning China practice and a seat on the firm's policy committee. Chang will work at Wilson Sonsini's Palo Alto, Calif., and Shanghai offices. "There has been more and more momentum with respect to technology in China," says CEO John Roos. "We are ready to make the commitment."

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati has lured former partner Carmen Chang back into the fold with two attractive offers: the firm’s China practice and sitting on the firm’s policy committee.
Chang, who has spent the past two years at Shearman & Sterling’s Menlo Park, Calif., office, started Monday in Wilson Sonsini’s Palo Alto, Calif., office. She plans to work out of that office, but will spend time at Wilson Sonsini’s Shanghai, China, location, once it is established.
