Emilia Mayorga of Kerr & Wagstaffe won an $11.1 million verdict in her first jury trial last week. A San Francisco jury decided against Compuware Corp. in a defamation suit brought by Mayorga's clients, two former Compuware employees. Mayorga handled the case largely on her own, which she said was sometimes scary, representing two women against a mammoth corporation and very skilled attorneys. Attorney and clients started the case with a group hug, and ended it with another one to celebrate their victory.
