Arch Wireless Inc. has cleared the final government hurdle to completing its $367 million acquisition of Metrocall Holdings Inc.

The Federal Communications Commission was expected Wednesday to announce that it has cleared the transaction, which will create the country’s biggest provider of traditional paging and two-way wireless data messaging services. Metrocall announced Nov. 5 that the Department of Justice had ended its antitrust investigation into the deal.
